The official Nominating Caucus for city elections is September 10th at 7:30 PM; mail-in voting begins October 6th; Election Day is November 5th.

1) Local Takoma Park elections will be conducted by mail. All registered voters in Takoma Park will receive a Takoma Park election ballot in the mail. They will be mailed out in early October.

2) Make sure you are registered to vote. If you have voted in any recent election from your home address in Takoma Park, and if nothing has changed, you can expect to receive a ballot in October. If you have moved to Takoma Park recently, or if you have moved to a different address in Takoma Park, take a moment to confirm or update your registration: Visit takomaparkmd.gov, email clerk@takomaparkmd.gov, or call 301-891-7267.

3) Once you fill out your Takoma Park ballot you can do one of the following:
a. Drop it in one of the two ballot drop boxes, at the Community Center, 7500
Maple Ave. or at the Rec Center, 7315 New Hampshire Ave. Be sure to place only
your Takoma Park ballot (not your national or state ballot) in the Takoma Park
drop box.
b. Mail it in via the US Mail.
c. Be sure to drop off or mail in your ballot by November 5th. To be sure it is
postmarked by November 5th, we encourage you to take it to the post office.

4) Those who do not receive a ballot, need special assistance, or who are not yet
registered to vote can vote in person on election day at the Takoma Park Community Center, 7500 Maple Avenue. The Center will be open for voting from 7 am to 8 pm on November 5th.

5) Remember: voting for Takoma Park Mayor and City Council is SEPARATE from the state and federal voting procedures. You must go to your FEDERAL/STATE ELECTION POLLING PLACE to drop off or cast your ballot for the federal and state elections by November 5th.
