An update about the agenda for this evening’s City Council meeting (2/5)

Hello Ward One neighbors,

I am updating you about the agenda for this evening’s City Council meeting, which differs from what was written on the Rolling Agenda that I cited a few days ago – my apologies.

Because there will be a detailed discussion about the property tax assessment process, you might want to tune in to hear, or even participate.

To speak at tonight’s meeting during public comments, you need only show up at  the Community Center auditorium at 7:30 PM; to speak virtually over zoom, you must register by 5 PM here

Tonight, the key topics are as follows:

        1. State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT): information and Q&A on the Property Assessment Process (PDF)
Presentation (PDF)
Property Tax Assessment Interactive Map

        2. Quarterly Financial Report (FY25 First Quarter) (PDF)

First Quarter FY 2025 Financial Report (PDF)
Presentation (PDF)

You can click on these links to see the documents, and the interactive map.

To recap, we will not be continuing to discuss the City Council’s priorities for FY 2026 tonight after all.

If you would like to see the draft of Council priorities that was discussed on January 29th, you can now access the draft here (showing markup) or here (the ‘clean’ version).  The discussion was not finalized, so I assume it will be taken up again soon.

Best,

Jessica
